Nexus One vs. Droid vs. Hero
Except for AT&T, all the major carriers in the United States have their Android OS "Champion". T-Mobile currently has the most models of Google phones, with the Nexus One exclusively to itself (for the time-being). Verizon has the Motorola Droid. Sprint has the HTC Hero.
They each have a sizable screen, nice for viewing movies and video. They each support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless connectivity. All have GPS, as well. Of course, they all benefit from the thousands of apps available in the Android Market.
The Google Nexus One has found favor, largely, with those who appreciate fast and sleek hardware. The HTC Hero touts being a phone that conforms to you, with intuitive personalization features. The Motorola Droid is being marketed as a powerhouse of features and capabilities.
Ultimately, your decision may come down to a choice of carriers, and the service plans they offer. At the moment, Verizon has the most expensive unlimited data plan, followed by T-Mobile, and Sprint.
Regardless of which phone you might choose, they are all phones of powerful potential, connectivity, productivity and fun.
Get the most from an Android phone - Hero, Droid or Nexus One - with The Missing Sync. The Missing Sync works with Windows Media Player and iTunes to transfer playlists of music, podcasts, video and ringtones fast via USB cable. Keep contacts in sync wirelessly via Wi-Fi.
